EVENTS

IF you wish to sponsor a parish council seat, in memory of a loved one, contact Jan Burgess or the parish council secretary, Lucy Fletcher, on 897430 for further details. The seats are located throughout the parish and a memorial plaque will be placed on the seat by the parish council.
THE next EPRA draw will be at Ye Horseshoe Inn on the Saturday 10 May. There is one spare number available.
EGTON CE Primary School safari supper is on Friday 16 May, with meals starting at 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm, 7.30pm and 8pm. To reserve a place contact Eva Everitt on 895452, mentioning if requiring the vegetarian option.
ST Hedda's School is to have an open afternoon on Wednesday 21 May from 1.30-3pm. Parents and children are welcome to have a look around the school and meet the staff.
EPRA draw – there is one spare number available in the 200 club draw which raises funds to maintain the recreation pavilion on the sports field. If anyone would like to support the recreation association please ring 896614 to register their interest. The next draw will be held on Saturday 10 May at 12.30pm in Ye Horseshoe Inn, Egton.
THE next meeting of the Whitby Rural (South) Community and Police Liaison Group will be held on Thursday 15 May at 7.30pm in Hawsker Chapel Rooms. All are invited to attend and hear the presentation of the police report and question the officers or raise any points regarding policing in the surrounding areas.
THE next dance in the village hall, old time and sequence, will be on Friday 23 May at 7.30pm. Admission £2.50 and there will be a raffle and a faith supper. Proceeds for the Esk Valley Summer Theatre. For details ring 897353.

EGTON Parish Hall is available to hire. For bookings contact Mrs J Harrison at Watergate Farm on 895281. Regular events in Egton Parish Hall: Monday, 6.30-8.30pm sequence and old time dancing; Tuesday, 6pm Aerotone, 7.30pm short mat bowling, first Tuesday in each month, 7.30pm whist drive; Wednesday, 1.30pm social sequence dancing beginners, 2.30pm advanced (except first Wednesday in month), 7pm beginners' line dancing, 8pm line dancing; first Wednesday in each month, 2pm Ladies' Fellowship; Friday, the first in each month, dancing to Night Owl, 8pm, £2.50.

CLUBS
TODDLER group of the Egton Playgroup in the Station buildings, Egton Bridge on Thursday afternoons, 2-3.30pm. For more details ring 895563.
BEGINNERS sequence dancing on Wednesdays at 1.30pm in Egton Village Hall (advanced 2.30pm). Ring (07894) 446961 for more details or transport.
