I was born and bred in Whitby and have seen good things and bad built in Whitby over the years, but the monstrosity being built on the Harrisons site beats them all.
It should never have been allowed by Scarborough Borough Council.

It is totally out of character with the area and buildings.

Too high, too wide, you name it and then to stick what I can only describe as an igloo on the top is beyond belief.

I drive a taxi and I see it at every turn.

Visitors are shocked at the carbuncle.

I know you can see the Great Wall of China from space, well I’d put money on it that you can see the igloo too.

The soft sell windmill idea does not wash at all.

It would have made sense if the fire station had been moved forward into the space, minutes save lives and I’m sure it would have made life easier for the fire brigade.
