Thanks to courteous collectors

Despite whatever lingering questions there might be about our current fortnightly refuse collection system, I have to say I have always found the men who empty our bins (here my neighbourhood at least) to be courteous, co-operative and efficient (especially compared to those in the local authority where I lived previously) in the thankless service they provide.
And I say thankless because I’m sure few people ever express their appreciation to them for the service they provide week in week out.
