AN ESK Valley councillor has been re-elected to serve a further term as chairman of the North Yorkshire and Cleveland Coastal Forum and he is appealing for your help.
Coun Herbert Tindall who represents Danby on Scarborough Council will chair the forum, which seeks to represent all stakeholders within the coastal areas between Teesside and East Yorkshire.

The forum, which has more than 100 participants ranging
from local authorities such as the North York Moors National Park, to national authorities including the National Trust, was originally set up to provide a body that can help influence how the coastal area should be managed.

Coun Tindall said: “I am honoured to have been re-elected to the role of chairman.

“The pressures and challenges on our coast, on land and sea, are increasing and we have to speak as one voice to ensure that our thoughts are relayed to those who would seek to both exploit and enjoy or benefit from our coast”

Coun Tindall, who also represents the Esk Valley on North Yorkshire County Council, would like all people and other organisations with an interest in the North Yorkshire and Cleveland coast to join the forum, either on its executive or at the forum meetings.

l For further details about the forum, contact Stewart Rowe on (01723) 232444 or Coun Tindall on (01287) 660262.
