The warmer dry weather up to this weekend has been a real bonus for us, with the grass growing very well and getting away a little bit from the cows and going a bit stalky rather than being all leaf which they prefer.

It was very late when we finally got the cows turned out, with April being so wet.

It's funny how when you're younger the years seem to take an age to go by but now, being a bit older than younger, they seem to fly by and you start wondering where last year went.

With February being a month where the sun actually shone more than it rained, the land dried out nicely and we were able to spread the farmyard manure rather than the slurry on some of the silage fields.
