LEALHOLM School's good season on the field continued as they claimed the honours in the Barclays Shield.
It was the first time the village school had captured the trophy since 1995 when a certain Tommy Raw was in the side – he now plays up front for Whitby Town.
Lealholm won the silverware recently in a one-sided final against Glaisdale at Whitby Town's Turnbull Ground.
Lealholm headteacher Jenny Newton said: "Both teams played well but particularly Lealholm, who have been playing together for a long time and have had a very good season this year.
"They encourage each other and I'm delighted for them after all their hard work."
Teams go into the Barclays Shield if they are knocked out the first round of the Straw Cup, which was won by Airy Hill.
The shield puts the gloss on a successful season in which Lealholm girls were joint plate winners with West Cliff in a recent inter-schools tournament at Stakesby.
